"Kolder Quatsch" is a blend of two words from two languages:
“Kolder”(Dutch): meaning nonsense, absurdity, or theatrical foolishness.
And “Quatsch”(German): meaning babble, silliness, or plain rubbish.
By combining them, I created a new expression: one that sounds a bit ridiculous, yet strangely familiar just like life itself.
It’s a phrase that refuses to take things too seriously, and yet…
every whisper it carries contains something real.
In a world that is often far too serious,
yet too absurd to be taken seriously.
Kolder Quatsch is born:
my whispering form of art where humor, life lessons,
and existential confusion walk hand in hand.
I love to laugh.
But the kind of laughter that stings a little,
that reveals something,
that, if you really listen, carries a truth inside.
Each Kolder Quatschis a smile in disguise.
A mirror with a wink.
A story that makes you think,
even if it begins with an egg,
a man, or a toilet seat.
Because life isparadoxical.
It’s bitterly serious.
And still,
we laugh.
Because we must.
Because we may.
Because it helps.
